Terms of Service

Effective October 26, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Devmo, LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company ("we", "us"), which operates Shelf & Shaker (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Who can use it

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • Cocktail recipes and anything else about alcohol are only for people of legal drinking age where they live (21 in the United States). You confirm your age in the app; if you aren't of legal drinking age, you won't be shown alcoholic recipes.
  • You're responsible for your account, for keeping your password safe, and for what happens under it. Tell us right away at privacy@test.shelfandshaker.app if you think someone else is using it.

2. Drink responsibly

Shelf & Shaker helps you track bottles and find recipes. It is not advice about how much to drink. Know your limits, never drink and drive, and never serve alcohol to anyone under the legal drinking age or who is visibly intoxicated. When you host a party or invite guests, you are responsible for how alcohol is served at it. Recipes may contain allergens; check every ingredient yourself.

3. Owners, hosts and guests

An account's owner can invite hosts and guests. Owners and hosts control what's in the account and who can see it; guests get read-only access, which can expire. If you invite someone, you confirm you have their permission to send them an invitation by email or link.

4. Subscription, trial and billing

  • New accounts start with a 30-day free trial. After it ends, the account needs a paid subscription ($24.99 / year) to keep making changes.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until you cancel. You can cancel any time from the Billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
  • Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable and we don't refund partial periods.
  • We may change prices; we'll tell you by email at least 30 days before a change affects your renewal.
  • If a payment fails or a subscription ends, the account becomes read-only until it's paid. If 90 days pass after your subscription or trial ends without it being renewed, we reserve the right to remove the account's data.

5. Your content

What you put into the Service (your bars, bottles, favourites, parties and notes) stays yours. You give us permission to store, process and display it only so we can run the Service for you and the people you share it with. Don't upload anything unlawful or that you don't have the right to share.

6. Our content

The Service, including its software, design, drink book, recipes, photos and text, belongs to us or our licensors. The drink book is compiled from public sources. You may use it for your own personal, non-commercial use. Don't copy, scrape, resell or reverse-engineer the Service, try to get around its security or limits, or use it in a way that harms it or other people.

7. Changes and availability

We may add, change or remove features. We aim to keep the Service available but don't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may update these terms; if a change is material we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect, and continuing to use the Service afterwards means you accept it.

8. Ending your account

You can delete your login at any time from Me → Delete my login, and an owner can delete a whole account from Hosts & guests. Deleting an account cancels its subscription at once, without a refund for unused time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the Service or others at risk.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Recipes, measurements and ingredient information may contain mistakes.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY HARM ARISING FROM THE CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL, AND OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ABOUT THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

11. Indemnity

You agree to cover our reasonable costs if a third party brings a claim against us because of your content, your misuse of the Service, or your breach of these terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it there.
