What a subscription pays for. It holds your bars, your hosts and your parties. One account can have up to 10 bars and as many hosts as you like.
Bar
A place with a shelf: Home Bar, Vacation Bar, Office Bar, Downstairs Bar. Each bar has its own bottles, tools and Up next list.
Shelf
The bottles a bar has on hand. Shelf & Shaker works out what you can pour from it.
Owner
Runs the account: billing, and deciding who's a host. The owner is the only person who can add more owners or more hosts to the account. An account can have several owners, and owners can do everything a host can.
Host
Keeps the bars stocked, adds bars, plans parties and invites guests.
Guest
A friend you've invited. Guests have their own free login, where their favorites and drink requests live, and can see your bars but not change them.
Party
A named get-together at one of your bars. Everyone on its list sees what can be poured, asks for drinks and says what they'll bring.
Active party
The one party that's on right now. Only the active party takes orders, and while it's on, + on Recipes orders at it.
Bartender
Whoever is making drinks at a party. Anyone on the list can tend bar from the party's Bartender tab.
Queue
A party's line-up of ordered drinks, in the order the bartender will make them.
Shopping list
Hosts only: what to buy next for a bar, ranked by favorites or by how many new drinks each bottle unlocks.
Tool
Bar equipment a recipe needs: jigger, shaker, strainer, muddler, bar spoon. Recipes show the tools you have on hand with a ✓.
Specials
Drink menus our bartenders put together for a season or holiday, shown as photos on Home, Recipes and party pages.

Ready
A drink you can make right now from the shelf.
Almost
A drink that's one ingredient away.
Best next bottle

Favorite
A drink you've starred. Favorites belong to you, not to a bar, so they follow you to every bar and party.
